Reshaping the surface of a property so the ground sits where you need it.
Grading is the work of changing the shape of the ground. Resloping is the same work described by its goal: taking a slope that does not suit the property and giving it a different one.
Most people asking about grading want a usable area — somewhere flat enough to walk on, put furniture on, or let children play. The useful conversation is about the finished surface you want and whether the surrounding ground can accommodate it.
